Bathroom Storage for Style and Space

During the bathroom design phase of a project we often get asked what are the best options for storage? How do you make a bathroom functional but also keep the sense of style?

Here are some of our favourite ways to implement Bathroom Storage for Style and Space

Floating storage drawers

Storage units beneath sinks are nothing new. The modern look of floating storage can add a touch of class. They give the impression of less space being filled while still giving you generous storage. They can also be lit underneath by LED lighting to further enhance the bathroom environment.

5 Tips to Make your Bathroom Look Bigger

Recessed shelving

Recessed shelving is a very convenient and cost effective way to incorporate storage into your new bathroom. Recesses can be created in walls and then tiled to provide a seamless finish. This is our preferred method for adding storage within showers or alongside baths. It maximizes the space you have and means that you don’t have to spend extra money on storage units. The only drawback is that recessed shelving is typically left open meaning that it is probably better suited to storing your everyday items like shampoos and shower gels.

Medicine Cabinet

Medicine cabinets are pretty much timeless. They remain one of the most requested items for many new bathrooms that we install. Some people may see them as outdated from outdated, in reality they’re one of the easiest ways to store all the little odds and ends you need in the bathroom. The options are limitless, from handcrafted solid-wood cabinets to more high-tech-looking aluminum versions.

And speaking of tech, today’s medicine cabinets offer more gizmos than ever before. Many now come with multiple mirrors and we can incorporate LED lighting on both sides of the cabinet doors — making morning hair, makeup and shaving routines much easier. Need to charge your toothbrush, razor or smartphone? There are medicine cabinets that offer both electrical and USB outlets right in the unit.

One of the main benefits of a medicine cabinet is that they keep everything at eye level for easy organisation while maintaining a clean look.
