30 Jan Declutter Your Bathroom: Our Top Tips
The bathroom can be a busy place and clutter can build up quickly. If you want to de-clutter your bathroom and create more space in the process, read our top tips, put them into action and you’ll become the proud owner of a calm, peaceful and organised bathroom in no time.
1. Wall Hung Furniture
Instead of storing your toothbrush, toothpaste and soap on or around the sink (which looks messy and makes it more difficult to keep the area clean), invest in some nice looking wall hung dispensers and or/cups to store them in. The simple act of removing products and toiletries off the surface of your sink, vanity unit or bath creates a much cleaner and open looking space. Small, wall hung shelves are also a good option if you don’t want wall hung dispensers.
2. Get Rid of Out of Date Toiletries and Cosmetics
We’re all guilty of this. Many of us have bottles of shampoos and cosmetics hanging around that are probably months out of date. Go through all of your toiletries and check the expiry dates: You’ll be surprised at what you find. Chuck anything old and donate any good quality in date products that you don’t use to a friend or family member.
3. Storage, Storage, Storage
This sounds like an obvious one but a lot of us get stuck when it comes to thinking up clever ways to store all of our bathroom residents. There are a few ways you can combat clutter in a bathroom, ranging from wall hung wicker baskets for storing toiletries and towels to having a rail installed under your sink for hanging cleaning cloths and cleaning products.
4. Clean Green
Instead of using three or four different bottles of cleaning products to get your bathroom sparkling, why not make up one bottle of ‘does everything’ bathroom cleaner out of household products such as white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda. This will save space and is good for the environment.
