Small Bathroom – Period House

Small Bathroom – Period House

This project was completed in a period house and we created a finish that was sympathetic to the old property including paneling to match the existing finish. The real work in this project was behind the scenes as we had to strip back the old walls which had been plastered using traditional techniques and were therefore very uneven. Once we had stripped back the walls we then needed to insulate in order to bring the space in line with modern building regulations and ensure that it will be warm in winter. On top of this we then installed high quality waterproof plasterboard.

This can add to the cost slightly but we feel when doing a project of this nature it is a worthwhile investment and will mean that the bathroom will have a much longer lifespan and therefore pay for itself that way.

We feel that we were able to combine the old with the new and provide our client with a modern finish but with a traditional look.

We really enjoy taking a tired old bathroom space and turning it into a luxury bathroom. The following photos show the work in progress and the finished bathroom
