11 Aug Bathroom Update
This particular bathroom update took place in a home that was 8 years old. The owners decided they would like to refresh the bathroom as it was suffering from cracked tiles which often happens when the floor in laid incorrectly. When we lay a tiled floor we take great care to do it correctly and offer a guarantee that the tiles will not crack.
While this may not be one of our most dramatic makeovers, the homeowners were delighted with the result. They had identified a few things that they wanted to change that we were happy to implement. This was the first of three bathrooms that we fitted in this home.
The first thing they specified was they would like to replace the bath with a new shower. As their children grew, they were finding that they no longer had use for the bath. To accommodate this, we created a wall to wall shower. This shower style gives the room a wetroom ‘look’ but is a lower cost alternative as the floor is not fully tiled.
Because the house was timber framed, we made sure to completely strip back the bathroom. We added sound boards to cancel out noise and also correctly fitted the insulation. This is part of what makes our service the best, we make sure that all aspects of the build are completed to the highest standard.
