30 Mar Spring Bathroom Refurb!
Ok, so the weather has lied to us about it being Spring, but the sunshine is coming back, we promise. If your bathroom is looking tired, drab and in need of modernisation, we have some top style trend tips for your attention.
Decorative Wet Room Shower Trays
You’ll be pleased to know that here at Bespoke Bathrooms, we’re qualified Wedi Wet Room installers, and that’s why we’re fans of this current trend. Instead of a plain white or cream shower tray, why not go for a boldly patterned one. Think geometric monochrome patterns to make a feature out of your shower.
Gunmetal and Pewter Fixtures and Fittings
Brass fittings are still a popular trend for this season, but gunmetal and pewter taps aren’t as ‘brassy’ looking and still bring drama to a space. Team with neutral, natural materials such as wood and stone, for a bathroom that brings out your inner naturist.
Statement Walls
Applying a hand painted or motif wallpaper to one wall in a small bathroom is perfect for drawing the eye to the wall and thus opening up the space. Small doesn’t have to mean boring, and while it can seem counterintuitive to put something ‘busy’ in a compact room, the sense of drama that it brings will make the space feel unique.
Rounded Rectangular Mirrors
Who knew that rounding the edges on a rectangular mirror would have such a lovely effect? Rounded rectangular mirrors bring something a little bit different to a bathroom but are also an excellent choice for a compact bathroom. A lot of people tend to put a small mirror in a small bathroom but if you place a large mirror on one wall, it will create lots of light and open up the space.
Natural Print Tiles
It seems like we’re going back to our roots when it comes to interiors, as we’re seeing so many tile and wallpaper designs featuring plants, flowers and animals. If you like the idea of having a patterned tile in your bathroom but the idea scares you a little, do your research and shop around. Go for something sophisticated that will stand the test of time, rather than something novel or kitsch.
Space Saving Furniture
Not really a new trend, but in terms of innovation and design, space saving furniture gets better and better. Think compact vanity consoles complete with toiletry and towel storage. Before you choose one, think about the function of your bathroom: What you expect it to give you and what you want to be able to do in it, then choose the corresponding item.
Tech
Thanks to the realisation that our bathrooms are pretty important places, home technology manufacturers are continuously finding ways to produce tech that enhances our bathroom experience. You can now enjoy touchless sensor taps, bidet seats and cabinets with in-built bluetooth speakers and even smart showers that remember shower setting preferences for each individual in the home. The trend for spa inspired bathrooms isn’t going away any time soon, so why not give us a call to discuss your new Spring
